The Telematics solution supports the staff involved in the execution of the processes involving order management, dispatching and vehicle. Planning and optimizing different tours is done based on a graphical information system. The data received by the dispatcher can be individually edited and changed and directly forwarded to the respective vehicle. Tour guidance makes the handling and the documentation to the driver much easier. The tour status and the progress are clearly visible to driver and to dispatcher at any time. A special call centre module to inform the customer is available. Adaptation of specific work flows and process environments can be performed.
The implementation of this Telematics solution for Waste Management is based on the Advanced Telematics Platform developed by mm-lab. This platform enables a variety of applications in parallel on one unified vehicle computer infrastructure as well as their dynamical management over the air (Cellular communication) interface.
